Copying documents

There are several ways to copy documents within the ImandrA vault as well as to locations outside the vault. A document can appear in multiple folders even though only one copy of the document exists in the vault. Copying a document within a vault creates another appearance of the document in the selected folder. These are the methods for creating additional appearances of documents within a vault:

• The Windows Clipboard
• Drag and drop

To copy a document within the vault and create an independent new document unrelated to the source document, use the Copy Document command.

Copying documents to locations outside the vault creates files that are no longer controlled or tracked by ImandrA. Methods for copying documents outside the vault include:

• The Copy Out command
• The Copy Out and Open command
